Shamsuddin Shaikh is a mining professional with credit of developing several projects. Thar mining & power project worth US$2 billion was developed under his watch. He played instrumental role in resolution of Reko Diq dispute together with govt officials.

Currently he is chairman of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation overseeing the revival of this key Organization. He is also chief executive of National Resources Limited with mining interest in Chagai with minerals like copper and gold.

He believes in projects with a purpose and keen supporter of social Licensing in the mining areas. His social work at various sites is considered as bench mark for the industry.
